What Does an Elephant Charm Symbolize?
An elephant charm is commonly associated with strength, wisdom, prosperity, abundance, and good fortune.
Across different cultures and traditions, elephants can carry different meanings, but they have long been admired as symbols of strength, intelligence, resilience, and a good life.
At Harper & Hyra, we love the elephant for many of those same reasons. But we interpret its meaning a little differently.

What the Elephant Means at Harper & Hyra
We see the elephant as a symbol of strength, wisdom, and abundance.
That is why the elephant is part of our Abundance Collection.
Yes, the elephant has long been considered a symbol of prosperity and good fortune. You might even hear it described as a “good luck charm.”
But at Harper & Hyra, we don’t believe the charm itself creates your luck.
You make the decision. The charm reminds you of it.
When I choose an elephant charm, I can choose to say:
I have chosen abundance.
I have chosen to believe that good things can happen for me.
I have chosen to believe that good luck is on my side.
I have the wisdom I need to make the right decisions.
I have the strength to keep going when I need to.
The elephant becomes a physical reminder of those decisions.
Strength Doesn’t Mean You Never Get Tired
This is one of the meanings of the elephant that we especially love.
Choosing strength doesn’t mean deciding that you must always be strong.
You are allowed to be tired.
You are allowed to slow down.
You are allowed to rest.
There is a difference between losing your strength and simply giving yourself time to recover.
Strength doesn’t disappear because you rested.
Sometimes knowing when to stop, breathe, and restore yourself is part of being strong. Your strength is still there when you need it again.
That is the kind of strength we want the elephant to remind you of—not constant pushing, but the quiet confidence of knowing what you are capable of.
Wisdom Is Also Something You Can Trust
The elephant is also widely associated with wisdom.
For us, that doesn’t mean believing a charm will somehow give you the answers.
It can remind you to trust the wisdom you have already gained through your own experiences, choices, mistakes, observations, and growth.
You may not know everything.
You don’t need to.
You can simply choose to trust yourself enough to make the next decision with what you know today.
And What About Good Luck?
We love that elephants are traditionally associated with good fortune.
But here’s the Harper & Hyra interpretation:
The elephant doesn’t have to bring you luck for you to decide that life can work in your favor.
Wear it because you have chosen to notice opportunities.
Wear it because you have chosen to expect good things while still doing your part.
Wear it because you have chosen abundance instead of constantly preparing yourself for lack.
Wear it because every time you see it, you want to remember:
I chose abundance. I trust my wisdom. I know my strength. And I choose to believe that good things can happen for me.
That is what the elephant means to us.
Not magic.
Not a promise that nothing difficult will happen.
A reminder of the decision you have already made.
Decide who you are. Wear the reminder.
